Can we import an existing item catalog? Yes — items import with the rest of company history when you bind a source.
Item masters join customers, vendors, and ledgers in the same idempotent import. Blank source catalogs stay blank — we do not invent SKUs.
Who can see available cash? Finance roles only — HR managers do not see company cash by default.
Permissions separate company finance from HR. Payroll users can run pay without opening the ledger or Available cash.
